Hi, I’m Rianita.
A lifelong learner, reader, and wanderer of thoughts — currently living in Aotearoa New Zealand as a PhD student, far from my home in Indonesia.
This blog is my open journal — a quiet space where I reflect on the things that shape me: the weight and wonder of doing a PhD, the challenges of living and learning abroad, the books that hold me together, and the everyday moments that whisper meaning.
I write to remember. To slow down.
Some days, I write about academic anxiety and research dilemmas. Other days, it’s memories from childhood, questions about identity, or thoughts inspired by books and philosophers I love. No post here is perfect — but each one is genuine.
🧭 A Little More About Me
- 🎓 I’m pursuing a PhD in early childhood education, focusing on digital childhoods in rural Indonesia.
- 🌏 I live in Auckland on a scholarship journey that’s both a privilege and a growing pain.
- 📚 I read to feel connected — to ideas, to my roots, to people I’ll never meet.
- ✍️ I believe stories heal. That’s why I write them — for myself, and maybe for you.
